3 votes for Heist, 2 for Sean Ferry, and a bunch more amazing folks!

I would highly recommend "Heist", located at 375 Alabama St, San Francisco.  They are our neighbors and they do some really great work, for some very professional clients as well as small companies like us.

Check out their work here:

We've had very positive experiences with Heist. http://www.heistprojects.com/ Founded by a couple solid, down to earth Berkeley grads. We had them do some post production work for us, but they do soup to nuts storytelling to production.
---
We share the floor of our building with a company by the name of Heist.
We've worked with them on three projects.
Very talented and very good people to work with.

Sean Ferry – used to do videos of concepts here at IDEO

I only assume he still does work for hire, but we've used Sean Ferry many times to great success.  A pleasant, professional, and talented fellow.

It’s been a long while, but we used and independent video person, Ms. Bree Renz, of Breeze Productions (Woodside).

These guys are right across from our shop in Sunnyvale. They've got some great experience, though I'm not sure what their rates are. You should give them a call.

I recommend these guys in SF.
