There are two Stack-Up analysis software tools that I know of. They both do what you are asking. I would recommend getting a web demo of both. Their websites are as follows.
http://www.varatech.com/ The product I would recommend is SigmundWorks. (They will try and upsell you to the full blown package, take a look but you will probably only need the SigmundWorks product.)
http://www.tasysworld.com/ The product is TASysWorks. (they also have a pretty cool “light” version called PreTASysWorks)
Also ask for a free 30 day demo and try and work through a VERY SIMPLE (no more than 4 parts) assembly. Then you’ll have an Idea which one to go with. Check out the support for both products as well. Find out if your SolidWorks VAR (Value Added Reseller) supports it or if you go direct.
Both products are very useful for locating key dimension and reducing mfg. costs. From past experience the more complicated versions are very powerful for analysts, but the average CAD user will not like them. The quick and easy versions work well and can be used in normal day to day assemblies.
