-ADDING A NEW PAGE

Page history last edited by Art Sandoval 9 years, 7 months ago Saved with comment

If you want to ADD a new page, please review these steps (and hopefully I have captured everything):

adding content

-Click on the 'Create a Page' on the upper right hand side

-Type in the name of your new page. This name will be used in the Navigator and sidebar so choose appropriately.

-Choose 'no template'

-A new blank window will open for you to add your content. Feel free to format as you like or not.

-Click 'Save'

You're not done yet...

you will notice that your page does not appear in the TOC or the Sidebar.

The TOC is only on the front page. To add your file to the TOC:

-Go to the TOC/Front Page (click 'Home')

-Click 'Edit Page'

-Position the text entry where you will be adding your link, alphabetically

-Click "Add link"

-Type the name of the page you created and choose it from the autolist that pops up

-Click 'Save'

The Sidebar appears on all of the pages so you can navigate laterally from one topic to another without having to go back to the homepage. To add your file to the Sidebar:

-Click on 'edit' at the bottom of the Sidebar. (Right now, it is in the same line as 'Woodworking')

-The Sidebar window will open, and you can see all of the other topics already listed.

-Position the text entry where you will be adding your link, alphabetically

-Click "Add link"

-Type the name of the page you created and choose it from the autolist that pops up

-Click 'Save'

If you forgot the exact name of your page:

-Click on 'Home'

-Click 'Edit Page'

-Click 'show all' over in the right column, next to Pages

-You can scroll through the list of pages that have been created
