Sound Design Consultants

Hey esteemed folks,

We’re looking for a consultant to help us design/specify the auditory sounds (wait – that’s redundant isn’t it?) for a medical device (warnings, alerts, dulcet tones of healing, etc.)

Any good consulting resources with experience in this area you can recommend?

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Dave! My friend Ben is an incredible sound engineer. He currently works for Google so he's checking into whether he is allowed to take side jobs right now, but while he is checking, I thought you could check out his website.

I've passed on your info to him, so when he gets an answer from Google, he will contact you!

Best,

Stacy

Also try Creativity in San Carlos (south of San Francisco): http://www.creativityincorporated.com/ Charlie Albert is the owner.  They have done a lot of work in the toy business, but they are musicians, composers, and engineers.  And they’re GREAT to work with!

Excellent sound designer based in SF. My partner worked with him for several projects at Google.

Dave,

Hope all is well. Sort of a stretch here so I'm not cc'ing the whole alumni list, but I think it would be worth your time to call Scott Bogues at Music Lovers Audio. Music lovers is the top speaker store in the area and arguably the US. Apple gets their speakers there, to give you an idea. Scott is the man and would certainly be willing to share any expert contacts he has. Feel free to drop my name.

Here's his email and work phone:

Hi Dave,

I have a consultant I’ve been using that has some solid experience. He’s been working on MIDI sounds for a CE product I’m working on. Lemme check with him and I’d be happy to connect you.
